Today is my Mom's Birthday...

My mother turned 73 today. I called them last night which is their Friday morning and I am happy to know that they are busy preparing a birthday dinner party for my Mom. My Aunts and Uncles were there too and some of their friends. There has been many times of the year where lots of misunderstandings in the family that cause a dent in their relationship but I'm happy in times like this where everyone is trying to amend things and renew their bonding.
Now, you may wonder why there is a whole roast pig here? It's because my family prepared one to cater all of the visitor. It is one of the tradition back home that if the family can afford one it is the center piece of the dining table and part of the main menu. Just like turkey you have to cook the pig for hours maybe from 4am if you want to serve it at 5pm. You will love the meat, so tender and juicy.
